Die Cutting

About the product
Die Cutting is a process used to generate large numbers of the same shape from materials such as plastic and fabric to mention a few. The blade used in Die Cutting is bent into the desired shape and mounted to a strong backing. The result is known as a Die. The material being cut is placed on a flat surface with a supportive backing. The Die is then pressed onto the material to cut it into shape. The Die Cut shapes are sometimes called “blanks”. Especially shaped blades are used in Die Cutting. Die Cutting can be done on either flatbed or rotary presses. Rotary Die Cutting is often done in line with Printing. Commonly produced items using this process include Labels, Boxes and Envelopes.
