GEO MEMBRANE / PRE-LINER
Some dams may require a under liner in the form of a pre-liner or geo membrane should the dams surface be a little rough and stony. A Pre-liner can act as a replacement for a thin layer of sand and therefore acts to protect the liner from any possible damage from beneath.
UV SHIELD
A 320 micron PVC mesh (net) is a specialised reinforced PVC mesh that is welded into place on the dams walls to protect the liner from extended UV damage. This is especially useful on irrigation dams where the water levels are continually fluctuating; leaving the liner on the dam’s walls exposed to the suns UV rays daily or for an extended period of time.
