Vuselela FET College seek to give life to the national vision of a sector that responds to the development of intermediate to high-level skills and competencies. The principles of the FET Act (16 of 2006) provide the foundation for the new co-ordinated FET system, aimed at providing high quality, flexible and responsive programmes and opportunities for developing a learning society. Strategic Planning is the major process that FET institutions employ to achieve these aims. weaknesses, opportunities and threats that may exist at the college. Our plan embraces the mission and vision for Vuselela FET College for leading change in its contiguous area. We took a critical look at our environment and ourselves. Some of our major concerns have been teaching, support services, administration, finance, programmes, governance as well as partnerships and learnerships. We have established a number of working committees to address these issues. The development of our strategic plan is guided by policy priorities which are in line with national and provincial priorities. I believe that the strategic plan lends support to the President's vision of: A nation at work for a better life for all. Our aims and objectives are in line with the national and provincial Human Resource Development strategies: To maximise the potential of the people of South Africa, through the acquisition of knowledge, skills and values; to work productively and competitively in order to achieve an improving quality of life for all; and to set in place an operational plan together with the necessary institutional arrangements to achieve this.
