Company description
The property known as Lynndower where the offices of Andre De Klerk are situated was the original farmstead where Frank Edward Beattie Struben stayed. His farm comprised the townships of Lynnwood, Menlo Park and the experimental farm of the University of Pretoria. Mr Struben, who was an invalid after an aeroplane accident, built the farmstead Lynndower in 1939 - 1940 with Italian prisoners of war. He also built a cottage called South Cottage for his fulltime nurse, Eileen Mary Chapman. Chappies Road was called after Me Chapman. Lynndower is still dependent for most of it's water from the borehole situated on the grounds of the Menlo Park High School on the corner of Lynnwood and Atterbury roads. The servitute of water pipeline runs from the borehole along Lynnwood and The Rand roads
