Renewable Energy Investments SA - Cape Town

The REISA Solar PV project is the largest of its kind awarded by the Department of Energy’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP), representing 12% of the total 632MW capacity procured. Under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement with Eskom, REISA will provide clean, renewable energy to the Northern Cape and South Africa, while also bringing job creation and socioeconomic development to the local communities in which it operates. REISA is an example of how sustainable electricity generation can be achieved with a low environmental impact.
