Jansen Meat Market, Butchery - Johannesburg, South Africa

Good day, its not my first time buying meat at Jansens and I have never had any problems. But on Monday the 4th January 2021 I got my months meat and I don't know why but the mince and worse has a bad smell when I cook it.

I have been trying to call, 10 missed calls. I bought a chicken got home only found that the is no chicken inside the plastics. Ask #005 Cyrillen if she saw it cause it only makes sense that i might left it at the till.

Please note that we are at home with Jansens and are 100% happy with your fresh meat plus service, except that you don't allow us to contact you telephonically to asking you innocent questions and for orders in order to save time+petrol - even if you can provide a cellphone number that will be decent of you for best communications with your loving and loyal customers. Please do honor our request regarding this.

I have been shopping at Jansen's for many years along with my Mom, my Mom-in-law and even my sister and daughter all shop at Jansens for our monthly meat requirements (and more). I must say that we have always gotten value for money and excellent service. Just one little suggestion regarding the entrance - please could they put up rails of some sort as it was raining last weekend on Saturday when I went to do my monthly meat shopping with my Mom and I slipped and fell as I went out of the door. My packets went flying and my poor knee is all black and blue. Dry Wors and biltong packets exploded and the tinned Onion & tomatoe tin looked like it had been through a grinder ! I bruised my ego more than anything else but just worry about the elderly people who may hurt themselves badly if they slip. We come from Germiston to do our shopping at Jansens. Thank you for the brilliant service.

I have been trying to phone them for 3days now no answer, I buy all my meat there every month I bought their sausages and Russians I need to know if they are safe as I stay far and work in Pretoria can someone give me an answer please
