Secret Dried Fruit is an online dried fruit business situated in Cape Town. We source our dried fruit exclusively from a farm in the heart of the Klein Karoo. This area is already famous for its top quality dried fruit produce, but we go the extra mile to source our fruit from only one farmer. He ensures that the fruit we receive is only of the highest quality.

At the secret farm our skilled workers carefully cut out the stone of each peach before we begin the drying process. These peaches keep most of their body after being dried and are traditionally eaten as is. They can also be stewed in water, which makes them soft, sweet and juicy. Our tip: try our cling peaches with a glass of Montagu's muscadel. Perfect for sundowners.

Freestone peaches are peaches with stones which do not cling to the flesh of the peach. When cut open the stones are removed easily. Here at the secret farm we produce three varieties of freestone peaches: Elberta, Suncrest and Sunsweet. The Elberta is the grandmother, while the Suncrest and Sunsweet were cultivated more recently. All of them are delicious and when dried out they become soft and sweet. They are eaten as is, but can be stewed in water as well. If you're after a sweet snack, these peaches are for you.
