Gatfol Technology is an innovative way of transforming keyword queries into natural human-computer conversations. This technology provides an invisible, universal interface that acts as an interpreter between simple user input and the information requirements of applications for efficient retrieval. The Gatfol project began in the UK around 12 years ago, when a team of financial specialists created an intelligent accounting system that could detect patterns in accounting data. While the ultimate goal of Gatfol is to enable people to converse with data, a more immediate objective includes data search, as searching is essentially talking to information. The current focus is on applying Gatfol's technology to enhance search using semantic intelligence (meaning in data), both on the web and in internal databases.
